Back

After the Creator had made all the animals, he decided it was time to make man. Man was to be his greatest creation and he worked hard to form him.

When he had done so he was so proud that he commanded all the animals to bring the man a gift and he told each animal what that gift was to be. For example, he told the elephant to give man some of his wisdom, the snake some of his cunning, the lion some of his courage, the giraffe some of his foresight and so on and so on.

The Creator saw this and told the chameleon that as a result, he would always be hidden and never receive the credit from man for the gift that should have been passed on. And so man never received the gift of eternal life.

Well that was how it was told to me.
