When the Creator was creating all the animals he came to create the warthog.

Sadly, the Creator was running out of skin to use for the animal so he had to stretch the skin very tightly over the warthog's peculiar shape. Not only that, but he had a problem with the eyes.

As a result, when the warthog was complete he had a little problem; he could not see properly, so when he runs he has to squint and this pulls his skin even tighter making his tail stick straight up in the air.

Now, a little later the Creator was adding the reproductive organs to the animals to complete them. 

The warthog was so upset with the way that the Creator had made him that he would not come for his testicles when he was summoned. So the creator had to go after him and when he found him the warthog ran away - tail in the air. The Creator lost his patience with the warthog and threw the testicles at his exposed behind. And that is where they stayed; take a look next time you see a warthog.

Be careful mind, because the whole episode has made the warthog one of the most short tempered animals there is.
